Today, we are proud to announce that the Great Place to Work® Institute Belgium has named N-SIDE as the #5th Best Workplace™ of Belgian companies with up to 500 employees. This recognition is following the “Great Place to Work®” certification for 2021 that N-SIDE received in February.

The Great Place to Work® Institute Belgium conducts annual studies for their certification program. Great Place to Work® examines businesses in two ways: the Trust Index© survey and the Culture Audit©. The Trust Index© survey is an employee questionnaire. It investigates employee’s experience in terms of trust, pride, fairness and team spirit. The Culture Audit© evaluates the organisation’s culture, focusing on HR and leadership practices.

What does achieving this rank of #5th of the Best Workplace in Belgium (of companies with less than 500 employees) by the Great Place to Work Institute mean to N-SIDE?

Achieving this Best Place to Work ranking recognizes the work that has been done over the last 3 years, since we first participated in the Great Place to Work program. For the team, to know that we are part of those best places to work is really great – to see that all the efforts, all the motivation, the spirit, and the culture in the company is well aligned to achieve this.

This also supports our growth. We are growing very quickly. We are one of the fastest growing companies in Belgium. To sustain this growth, it’s important that we maintain this culture and create the habits to be effective so that people feel good about working at N-SIDE.

At N-SIDE our culture is based on trust, and that really is what the Great Place to Work and being a Best Workplace means. Trust enables us to be a learning company which also supports our growth!

Could you explain more about how the culture at N-SIDE helped us achieve this distinction?

Another important element of our culture is partnership – partnership between the teams, and with our customers. Creating this work environment is really a joint effort.

Transparency and being able to share is also key. This is one of the main points of the Great Place to Work questionnaire. I believe that as a scaleup transparency is even more important. At N-SIDE, we value feedback in all directions. Thanks to transparency, we are able to exchange, grow and learn together.

Last but not least is the capability of celebrating, enjoying and being proud of the work that we are doing.

Commitment, one of our core values, is also important. We have a commitment to N-SIDE’s mission that includes positive aspects about our society and the environment that we can be proud of. And we have commitment to each other.

And thanks to this commitment, having a growing impact on a large scale. We are more and more impactful which we can be very happy about.

This is the third consecutive year that N-SIDE has been awarded the GPTW designation. How has being a part of GPTW helped N-SIDE evolve?

For me, the GPTW survey is not only about having a certification. It enables us to see our strengths and our areas of improvement as a company. And we monitor it. We ask for our people’s feedback, to ensure that we can act on it and become even better.

This type of monitoring with Great Place to Work simply helps you to improve. It’s what we aim at – continuous improvement.

At the beginning, it was about looking for a trusted partner to be able to have this kind of survey and information. We wanted to make sure it would be under full transparency and trusted by all the employees. That is how we started with GPTW. Now we are very happy to be part of the Best Workplace ranking.

Great Place to Work helps support the development of the company culture. We are implementing actions and improving year on year. And we see that improvement now, being named not only a great place to work, but a Best Workplace.

Is there anything else you’d like to add?

It’s a collaborative effort. GPTW for us is a way to have some feedback but also to know how our people want N-SIDE to evolve and that they can fully contribute to this desired evolution.

We want to keep this kind of collaborative approach, working all together to make N-SIDE a Great Place to Work and among the Best Workplaces.

Thank you to all the employees and our partners. I am looking forward to the future, to continue like this, to continue improving!
