We are looking for an Optimization Product Engineer to join our Life Science team based in Louvain-la-Neuve, Brussels Area, Belgium. As an Optimization Product Engineer in Life Sciences at N-SIDE you will help optimize the management of clinical trials’ supply chain of different pharmaceutical companies. By developing our unique Clinical Trial forecasting & risk management optimization product, you will support Clinical Trial managers to reduce their costs and better manage their risks with advanced forecasting, simulation & optimization technologies.


Innovative optimization solutions:
Optimization is both interesting and challenging. To bring value to our clients, we use the latest technologies in advanced business analytics: simulation & optimization techniques. You will learn to use our Clinical Trial forecasting & risk management optimization product to provide operational and strategic added value to our partners. You will build and support tools that help our clients manage risk for patients and decrease the cost of clinical research.

Product management:
Our products are built by teams of people with diverse skills from different backgrounds from innovation & development, through design, product management, QA, to consulting. You will work in cross-functional teams with cutting edge technologies, collaborate with different stakeholders to focus on key improvements to our products, and help drive our product development processes. You will build business cases and implement N-SIDE’s product vision and strategy across different regions and products. You will work to improve the N-SIDE’s knowledge transfer across all teams and stakeholders. And last but not least, you will define, implement, and follow industry’s best practices to champion the culture of quality.

User relationship:
Our users include stakeholders from many departments and levels of responsibility from production, through supply chain, to clinical teams. Building strong relationships with our users is key. You will need to communicate clearly to support our users with documentation and training as well as to understand their needs. In order to get there, you must be motivated to become an expert in advanced analytics and clinical research. You will also be responsible for supporting our users in implementing the N-SIDE’s solutions and be a part of their change management process. Effective communication is crucial for success.


  • IT or Engineering background (business, mathematical, etc);
  • Fluent in English;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Prior experience in product design, development, validation, or support is a strong asset;
  • Technical background and interest in mathematical modeling and analytics;
  • Prior experience in Clinical Trial Supplies and/or Supply Chain is a strong asset;
  • Proactive and solution-minded;
  • Business and customer-oriented with strong communication skills;
  • Team spirit, creativity, sense of initiative and responsibility.
