For 3 years, N-SIDE has been one of the key members of the SmartNet project. We are really proud to reach the end of this project with a successful delivery. Guillaume Leclercq, Head of AI for Energy, and Peter Sels, Energy consultant, are attending the last event of the SmartNet project,in Italy.

As an expert in market clearing algorithms (thanks to Euphemia – Market clearing algorithm), N-SIDE team has developed and implemented thealgorithms required to clear the market in the different TSO-DSO configurations (e.g. centralized vs decentralized).

Interested to know more about N-SIDE contribution to SmartNet project and how we developed market clearing algorithm ?

As a reminder, SmartNet is an H2020 funded project investigating how the flexibility from DER can be optimally leveraged by TSO and DSOs to procure various ancillary services (balancing, congestion).  Understand the relevance of the project in the SmartNet Workshop video that has been shot during the latest workshop in Firenze in October. Guillaume Leclercq is sharing his opinion ( min 1.23).

The end of SmartNet project ? What’s next ? Welcome to CoordiNet !

The purpose of CoordiNet is establish different collaboration schemes between transmission system operators (TSOs), distribution system operators (DSOs) and consumers to contribute to the development of a smart, secure and more resilient energy system. Special emphasis will be on the analysis and definition of flexibility in the grid at every voltage level ranging from the TSO and DSO domain to consumer participation.

N-SIDE will contribute in the market design and algorithms, involving a local market component, and will participate in the Spanish demo with ENDESA (Enel group), a major Spanish DSO.
