Bringing optimization to life for Grid and Market operators

Join N-SIDE at CIGRE 2026 to explore how we utilize advanced mathematical optimization and AI to assist market operators, grid operators, and energy stakeholders in building smarter, more resilient energy systems.

At N‐SIDE, we understand that the transformation of energy systems requires bold innovation and trusted partnerships. With our combined mathematical excellence, technological strength, and deep industry knowledge, we stand prepared to support the evolution of electricity markets and grids worldwide.

Storage Orders in Euphemia: Bringing Intertemporal Flexibility into Day-Ahead Markets

In this one-hour seminar, N-SIDE will explore the concept of storage-native orders in Euphemia and examine how storage could participate more effectively in day-ahead market clearing.
We will review the capabilities and limitations of existing order types, including block, linked, flexible, and spread-based orders, and discuss how parameters such as state of charge, efficiency, power limits, cycling costs, and end-of-day energy value could be incorporated into market design.
The discussion will place the European experience in a broader international context, drawing relevant comparisons with storage participation models in the United States and emerging design questions in India.
Participants will gain a practical perspective on the trade-offs between richer storage bidding, algorithm performance, scalability, and implementation.
Join us to discover how power markets around the world evolve to unlock the flexibility of storage and most precisely in Europe.
