N-SIDE is proud to announce a collaboration with SE Moldelectrica, Moldova’s transmission system operator, and our partner Navitasoft to deliver an Energy Market Management System for Moldova’s balancing market.

Why now?

The project comes at an important moment in Moldova’s energy-sector development, as the country moves towards European market standards. 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬, 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 calls for reliable, interoperable tools. N-SIDE brings market design, a strong and reliable market solution, as well as optimization expertise to this work, alongside our partners Navitasoft and Sandrologic.

For N-SIDE, 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐌𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞-𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬. Our contribution will focus on:
– Applying our electricity-market and market-design expertise to the balancing-market processes;
– Providing MMS capabilities for cross-border capacity management, balancing-capacity and balancing-energy markets, reserve activation support and grid-loss energy procurement processes;
– Building auditable, data-informed digital workflows that help operators manage complex market processes with confidence;
– Supporting Moldelectrica in anticipating the integration with core European cross-border balancing energy platforms.
